Our primary programs are located in conjunction with several hospitals and facilities in Westchester County, New York. The Squad makes hospital visits to young and old and anyone in between; in bedside and in group settings and always with in collaboration with our partner facilities and organizations. The work is valuable and rewarding for all concerned. Entrance into the programs requires compassion, a desire to share and collaborate, and an interview! A time commitment and training are also required (and training is available).

New York Clown Alley - New York, New York

The Alley is a group of clowns and magicians or any other type of family entertainers that meet on the third Wednesday of every month at the Elmhurst Hospital in Queens New York. Each month various topics of the entertainment industry are discussed. Guest speakers are on hand at various times as well as the training and guidance of those individuals that are new or interested in clowning (or juggling, face painting, balloon artistry, magic etc.) At various times of the year the members of the alley get together in costume and visit the children at the hospital to bring miles of smiles to all the patients and their families. It truly is a wonderful feeling. Although the alley itself is new, the majority of its members have been in the clowning industry for many, many years. There is a certain camaraderie within the alley that grows with each meeting and at times new friendships are made and "work together" ethics are exchanged. Everyone is treated on an equal level. You can feel at home here at the alley, and with some of us, this is a family. Electric City Clowns - Schenectady, New York

The Mission of the Electric City Clowns is to organize all members desiring to pursue their interest in the performing art of clowning and the supporting arts, to provide for the continuing education of our alley members, as well as, to be of humorous service to our local communities, while promoting the best of the clown arts, its traditions and ideals. WHAT THAT REALLY MEANS! When we gather as the Electric City Clown Alley (ECCA), it is our purpose to support all our members in a learning and sharing environment, to seek opportunities to serve our communities in a humorous way by clowning from the heart and foster a spirit of good fellowship among our members within the local clown arts community. Anyone with a sincere interest in clowning who is over the age of 8 years old is welcome to become a member. Our members are required to comply with the Clown Code of Ethics and also be a member in good standing of Clowns of America International.
